Rathergate: A Squandered Opportunity

Geoff Metcalf - MensNewsDaily.com:
"A recent Gallup poll showed that, by almost three-to-one, Americans do not trust 'the press'.

A goodly amount of the commentary and punditry has been sparked by an unstated annoyance at Main Stream Media Bias and exacerbated by thinly veiled dislike for Dan Rather.

Some have prematurely hailed the 'death of big media', self inflicted mortal wounds that cannot and will not be healed. Maybe. maybe not!

Charles Krauthammer observed, 'This is not an isolated case. In fact the case is a perfect illustration of an utterly commonplace phenomenon: the mainstream media's obliviousness to its own liberal bias. Denial survives'"

What still gets to me is this. They don't get it. Do they really think by smiling into the camera and spinning out their left wing view of the world they are reaching anyone? Now we have the Eason Jordan issue at CNN. Jordan apparently made a statement that our military is "targeting" journalists. It's reported that even Barney Frank was dismayed when Jordan said this at the Davos "socialist's convention". What is happening to date? CNN is stonewalling calls to show the video. Sounds familiar?

What gets me is Rather, and I'm sure some of these leftards at CNN, are the same shitheels who pummelled Richard Nixon about the war and Watergate. Nixon was far from a saint, but remember this. He got us the HELL OUT of Vietnam. Who put us in? Kennedy and Johnson... and that human piece of whale refuse, Robert McNamara.
