Waging War on the Working Poor
STLtoday - News - Editorial / Commentary Good example of the biases of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. The story is how the "working poor" are going to be hit by proposed changes in the Medicaid payments.
Review this editorial, please..... If you do a search, the word "work" is used three times. "Working Poor", dentists "work" on their teeth, and the State Senator going to "work". I guess the "Working Poor" is kind of a subterfuge ... none of these folks recieving the benefits seem to be working.
BTW I've worked in the Missouri Delta, and seen the poverty. It is far from a good situation. But we need to give these people a leg up, not keep them in the poverty cycle where they are nothing but a parasitic attachment to society.
